The usual objective in physical training is symmetry. Yet a young boy decided to achieve it differently and unconventionally. He has undergone training for 198 days on only one side of his body. Amazing results were found.
The Experiment Begins
Online, @nobluffjustwork, a 17-year-old physical fitness hobbyist, went on a distinctive journey to see what changes would happen to his body if he only exercised the right part. Sharing visuals of the process and thoughts with his fans was how he kept the audience up to date and engaged.
For the entirety of the seven months, he had performed every exercise, and that includes weight lifting, calisthenics, and also his usual activities, with only his right arm and leg. The left part of his body, which was left lethargic, was untrained and thus the control group in this extreme experiment.

The Astonishing Outcomes
198 days brought the process to such a level of extremity that the differences between the two sides of the body were just staggering.
- Muscle Mass: Well, his right arm and leg were more bulky and ripped, and that is in stark contrast to the left side, which remained the same.
- Strength: What is important is that he was able to raise weights that were much heavier with his right side than with his left.
- Coordination: He was quite clumsy with his left hand, as the side that was strong enough to carry out the tasks overcompensated, and the weak one lagged.
Before-and-after photos were uploaded side by side, went crazily viral, and provoked heated arguments among fitness coaches about muscle imbalances, functional strength, and the hazards of taking such a radical approach.

What Professionals Say
Since the experiment was exciting, the criterion of fitness professionals is not to repeat it.
- A discrepancy in muscles is a major cause of a hunched back, joint ailments, and an increased risk of getting a wound.
- Having functional fitness involves having a stable muscle condition so as to be able to carry out daily activities.
- The indifference in the long term to one side might bring about problems that were not present before and might get worse later on.
Drilling down to the fundamentals, the case of the boy also showed the human body’s extraordinary adaptation capability and the speed of muscle growth with regular exercise.
The Takeaway
Although it is generally not advised to only train one side of the body, this study is also a strong testimony to the significance of balanced workouts. If you are a newcomer or you’re already a very experienced gym rat, reasons of symmetry have always got to be first on your list for healthy living and high performance.
