It has come to the public that Cher was with her son, Elijah Blue Allman, at the hospital after he was taken there for a suspected overdose. Sources have it that the music icon is “devastated” but still doing all she can to support him.
Elijah, 47, was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles. Emergency medical personnel responded to a call. The sources close to the family are even hinting that the matter is drug-related.
One of Cher’s confidants said, “Cher is extremely worried about him. And in doing so, she is trying every possible way to help him get through this. It has been a tough time for the family indeed.”
Unto now, the youngest child of Cher and Gregg Allman, a musician, has been to eternity, if only metaphorically, due to his battles with addiction. Previously, Cher has continued to openly assert her attempts at helping her son, along with the issue of substance abuse and the threat of mental illness, she even tried to get him under a conservatorship in 2022.
The most recent declaration of support by Chern from an insider has it that the singer still pursues the goal of Elijah‘s recovery. “She’s the one who went through it before and knows it will be a long journey, but she will never give up on him,” the source concluded.
Thousands of fans took to social media to send their love to the family, praying for Elijah to become whole again.
