Only Way Is Essex star, Pete Wicks, has revealed one thing he would never do for a woman that might shock you. He gave details about his dating life.
Pete Wicks, who is participating in the next Strictly Come Dancing series, is known to have been open about his views on love and relationships. Now, it has been revealed by the reality TV star that the one thing he would not do is try to get someone to like him.
In his latest discussion, the 35-year-old TOWIE figure confessed that although he is willing to put in effort for a lover, there is only one condition that he will not break: he goes no further than being himself.
“Right from the beginning, the way I am is the way I shall be,” Pete Wicks stated. “If a woman does not like me because of the way I am, then it is going to do no good. I am not going to lose my character or make it seem as if I am interested in certain things just to gain someone’s approval.”
The Essex boy, who is famous for his no-nonsense style of communication, said that the only thing that is important in any relationship is the truth. “From my experience, pretending has never turned out well. You can’t pretend forever, so why begin?” he said.
Pete, who is known to have experienced several loving relationships in the past, insisted that finding a true connection is more what he is after now. He also insisted, “Still alone is better for me than to be with someone who can’t accept me as I am.”
Fans can expect to see Pete leaving his comfort zone very soon as he participates in the Strictly dance floor. Although he’s scared of the competition, he’s still committed to being himself, both on and off the dancefloor.
“Strictly is probably going to be difficult, but I’m going to treat it like me,” he said. “No lying faces, no pretending to be a pro dancer—just trying my best and enjoying it.”
