Garrick Merrifield, 40, star of TLC’s Seeking Sister Wife, was recently arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, Merrifield was booked in Chaffee County, Colorado, on Monday, November 24, and has since been released on bond. The report notes that he was charged with “telephone-obstruct service.”
In Colorado, obstruction of telephone or telegraph service is classified as a class 1 misdemeanor, which applies to anyone knowingly preventing or interfering with communications, such as phone calls.

Garrick’s alleged arrest comes just one week after he and his wives, Lorrana and Dannielle, celebrated the birth of Lorrana’s baby girl, Sarah Mae Merrifield, born in July.
Lorrana, who joined the family as a sister wife in 2024, was welcomed into Garrick and Dannielle’s household during the sixth season of TLC’s Seeking Sister Wife. Together, Garrick and Dannielle share three children: teen sons Geremiah and Solomon, and daughter Leia, born in May 2023.
“I am so happy to see Sarah growing up alongside her siblings, creating bonds and receiving so much love from the whole family,” Lorrana told People in a November 17 interview.
“She is very smiley, always with a wide and cheerful smile when she sees each of us,” she added of the newborn.
Garrick Merrifield shared more about life with the newest addition to the family. “Baby Sarah is definitely a squeaker. She is loud. I wonder if she might be an opera singer someday she’s got some lungs on her. I’m excited to see more of her personality and watch her and Leia as sisters playing and growing up together. It is such a blessing that we had Sarah at this time, so Leia will grow up with her as well,” he said.
Garrick also reflected on co-parenting within their plural family. “Co-parenting as a plural family has been wonderful to have all the support and be there for each other. It’s a blessing to have all of our family involved, helping each other. It’s definitely allowed us to do different things,” he explained.
He added, “Lorrana and I have been able to go on trips when Dannielle took the kids, and vice versa Lorrana is taking the kids so Dannielle and I are able to celebrate our anniversary.”
Dannielle shared her perspective with People: “With Garrick and I having three children already together, it has been a help, but we continue to learn new things after all this time. It’s been nice for Lorrana and me to be able to help each other as mothers and give each other breaks. It has also been equally special to see Garrick become a father again to two girls, which is a whole different ball game.”
During the September premiere of Seeking Sister Wife Season 6, Garrick and Dannielle opened up about courting Lorrana to join their family.
“Things really matured and started going in a good direction,” Garrick explained. “We kind of hashed out a lot of deep, heartfelt, serious questions both between her and Dannielle, as well as between her and me especially because I knew she had a past and had experienced some difficult relationships.”
He continued, “After being together with her for just five days, all of us, I thought, ‘You know, I feel really good about her. God wants me to ask her to be my wife.’”
