Jen Shah is heading home for the holidays.
People reported on Friday, November 21, that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum is set to be released from prison on December 10 meaning she will serve roughly two and a half years of her six-and-a-half-year sentence.
“Everyone is extremely grateful for the BOP’s decision, especially because it means Jen will get to reunite with her family for the holidays,” Shah’s manager, Chris Giovanni, told the outlet. “It’s a gift she does not take for granted.”
Giovanni added that Shah, 52, is “in a very positive, hopeful place mentally” as she prepares for her release.
“She’s done a lot of reflecting and genuine growth during her time away and is truly not the same woman she was before. Her priorities are her family and building a healthier, more grounded life,” he continued. “She understands the seriousness of the mistakes she made and is ready to close this chapter so she can show everyone the woman she has worked hard to become.”

The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment to People regarding the specifics of Shah’s release.
Shah was arrested in March 2021 alongside her former assistant Stuart Smith in connection with a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme that targeted multiple victims over the age of 55. She initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The former Real Housewives star ultimately pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2022.
“From 2012 to March 2021, in the Southern District of New York and elsewhere, I agreed with others to commit wire fraud,” Shah said in her statement at the time. “I knew it was wrong. I knew many people were hurt, and I’m so sorry.”
Us Weekly confirmed in January 2023 that Shah had been sentenced to six and a half years in prison. She reported to the Bryan Prison Camp in Texas one month later.

Shah’s sentence has been reduced several times during her incarceration. Before the latest update that she would be released next month, she had been scheduled to remain behind bars until September 19, 2026.
Shah has continued sharing updates with fans through diary entries posted on her website.
“Jen has been doing very well focusing on personal growth and her journey toward positive rehabilitation,” her rep shared in December 2024. “She’s currently preparing for her next holiday beauty showcase at FPC Bryan Prison and continues to send love to her family, fans, and friends who support her with constant messages. She’s deeply grateful for everyone who prays for her and holds her in a positive light.”
Shah shared another journal entry this past May, confirming that she’s doing “shahmazing” behind bars.
“I am in great spirits and doing well,” she wrote. “The steady love from my supporters, my wonderful family, and my faith keeps me moving forward as I continue this rehabilitative journey toward coming home soon.”
