Human remains from the bush were identified by the police as those of a teenage girl called Pheobe Bishop who had gone missing earlier this year. This extremely sad development is the winding up of the months-long search for the little girl.
Pheobe went missing, and police, volunteers, as well as community members, organized a large search to find her. The remains were found in a bushy and secluded place, but no information on the case of her death has been revealed as yet.
According to the police, the inquiry is still open, and the forensic team is trying to find out how Pheobe died. Identification of the girl has been confirmed, but the police are still looking for witnesses who might have some information.
The family of Pheobe has been informed that they have kindly asked to have some time for themselves in this most difficult time.
