Ginny & Georgia fans were left reeling by the shocking baby twist—and that’s just the start as the series heads into season 4.
Brianne Howey shared an exclusive peek at what’s ahead while speaking with Us Weekly about her collaboration with Shutterfly. “The ending of season 3 really shocked me,” she said. “Reading the new episodes, the writers continue to amaze me. I’m so grateful to be part of such incredible storytelling.”
Howey, 36, assured fans that the wait for season 4 will be worth it. “The ending of season 3 set us up perfectly for where season 4 is headed,” she said.
During the season 3 finale in June, Georgia (Howey) faced life after a murder trial and the impending end of her marriage to Paul (Scott Porter). The final scene teased a shocking twist: Georgia drinking milk, a craving Ginny (Antonia Gentry) recognized as a pregnancy signal. The big question? Whether Paul or love interest Joe (Raymond Ablack) is the father.
“Georgia probably needs to mend her soul a little bit after season 3,” Howey teased. “In a dream world, I’d like her to do right by her children, rectify as much as possible, and show that change is possible.”
Though Howey wouldn’t reveal the father’s identity, she expressed excitement about finally exploring the fan-favorite Ginny-Joe dynamic. “There’s been a lot of subtext that has been really fun to play out,” she said. “The show has pushed me outside my comfort zone and allowed me to grow as a performer. I’m super grateful for that.”
Brianne Howey revealed that playing Georgia keeps her constantly on her toes. “You can never underestimate the lengths people will go to for their loved ones, especially their children. Just when we think we’ve seen Georgia’s limits, there’s more,” she said.
While filming season 4, Howey emphasized the cast’s dedication to fans. “It’s a dream come true to be part of a season 4. When we see those viewership numbers, it motivates us to make the next season just as fulfilling. Everyone is working hard and riding the high from the positive feedback,” she shared. “I’m counting my lucky stars, feeling grateful, and giving this season our all. We don’t want to let anyone down and want to do justice to these beloved characters.”
Off-set, Howey is gearing up for the holidays with her husband Matt Ziering and their daughter. She praised Shutterfly for simplifying holiday gifting while juggling work. “I truly wouldn’t manage gifting without something as simple as Shutterfly. It’s probably the most authentic partnership for me, and I’ll be using it all holiday season,” she said.
Howey expressed her gratitude for Shutterfly, saying the website has made it easy for her to delight her loved ones with personalized gifts.
Howey shared her long-time love for Shutterfly, saying, “I’ve used them every year probably for the last 10 years. I’m not even exaggerating. It’s the most convenient gift-giving stop.” She highlighted a family photo book she created for her daughter to help them feel connected to loved ones when feeling homesick.
She also recalled a favorite gift: “One of my all-time favorite items is when I got my stepmom a blanket with our family portrait on it. It was the biggest hit. She lays it out over the couch during the holidays. It’s very sweet.” Howey noted that she enjoys using holiday and Halloween photos to create gifts, keeping celebrations festive and personal.
