Kim Woodburn’s former co-star, Aggie MacKenzie from the show How Clean Is Your House, has just responded to the untimely demise of her TV partner and has described her as a “tormented soul.”
Kim Woodburn, the one who was known as the queen of cleaning on TV, namely the duo of the famous cleaning team-passed away at the age of 81. The cause is still unknown. But Aggie is deeply moved by the loss of her friend and remembers the times when they were good and when they were not so good with each other.
“A Tormented Soul”
Aggie said to The Mirror: “In a lot of ways, Kim was a tormented soul. Her life was hard, and those hardships showed in her character. We had our good and bad moments, but there was always a lot of respect between us.”
They became the most popular faces at the beginning of the 2000s with their TV program, How Clean Is Your House?. In the program, they changed dirty houses into clean ones by using funny comments and cleaning tips. The chemistry between them was so strong on the screen, but behind the scenes, their relationship was quite difficult.
A Complicated Friendship
Kim and Aggie’s relationship was characterized by turmoil, public disputes, and occasional disagreements through the years. Aggie, however, seems to believe that a connection has always been there.
“We were like sisters—fighting one minute, laughing the next,” said she. “Kim was hot-tempered, outspoken, and she didn’t pretend to be anyone else. That’s exactly what people wanted.”
Although the show ended and the two had a falling out, and Kim even said that they had no contact, Aggie revealed that she had contacted Kim in recent years and tried to make peace with her.
TV Legend Dies, Fans Mourn
The news of Kim’s passing has deeply saddened people who love her and even celebrities who loved her. The many who have shared the memories of Kim in terms of her no-nonsense character, her quick tongue, and her fashionable catchphrases.
Piers Morgan, a TV presenter, called her “a true British TV legend,” whereas Jason Manford, a comedian, said she was “one of a kind.”
Aggie added, “Even though she did not notice it herself, she was the reason for people to be happy, and I am sure she is now in a place of peace.”
Kim Woodburn will always be remembered as a TV icon and a cleaning guru who never gives up–her life can be an example that even the most untidy people can make an impact.
