Big News: Vin Diesel Shares First Fast X – Part 2 Concept Art.

Updates on Fast X – Part 2 are coming in full throttle. After Fast & Furious star and producer Vin Diesel teased that the second part of the saga’s finale is “going to hit you hard” when it races into theaters in 2026, Diesel took to social media to reveal the first piece of concept art, which appears to be AI-generated.

“Happy Father’s Day to you all… while location scouting in Europe for Riddick, the concept art from Fast X Part 2 keeps coming in,” Diesel wrote on Instagram. “Wait until you see the American road trip.”

The image, shown below, hints at a pivotal scene set in an icy tundra. This follows Fast X (2023), which ended with Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Cipher (Charlize Theron) escaping a black site prison in Antarctica, only to be joined by Gisele (Gal Gadot), presumed dead since Fast & Furious 6 (2013), emerging from a submarine.

Another cliffhanger saw Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his son, Little Brian (Leo Abelo Perry), trapped in Portugal. After Dom’s brother Jakob (John Cena) seemingly sacrificed himself to save Little Brian from Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the vengeful Dante cornered Dom and his son at the bottom of a dam rigged with explosives.

In a previous post, Diesel expressed the overwhelming anticipation for the finale, calling Fast X – Part 2 “not just an ending, but a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together.” He added, “Hope to make you proud!”

Director Louis Leterrier, who guided Fast X, is back to helm the final installment. While Universal Pictures hasn’t confirmed an official release date, Leterrier suggested filming will begin in early 2025, aiming for a June 22, 2026 release—exactly 25 years after the franchise’s debut.

Fast X featured an all-star cast including Diesel, Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, Cena, Helen Mirren, Theron, along with newcomers Momoa, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, and Rita Moreno. The movie earned $714 million globally in 2023. Though Fast X – Part 2 may mark the end of the road for Dom’s crew, spinoffs are in the works, including Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Reyes with Momoa and Dwayne Johnson, as well as a female-led spinoff.
