“Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are set to reunite with their families this holiday season. Melissa, 46, confirmed that she and her sister-in-law Teresa, 53, will spend Christmas together following the end of their long-standing family feud.”“‘Yes, we will, at my house,’ Melissa replied when host Justin Sylvester asked if they planned to spend the holidays together on the December 7 episode of Peacock’s new show, Reality Hot Seat.”
Fellow guest Kate Chastain declared, “It’s a Christmas miracle!”
Meanwhile, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Heather Gay asked if Bravo cameras would capture the holiday festivities.
“No,” Melissa confirmed, joking, “I know. Bravo, where you at?” She added, “But you know what, it’s kind of nice to do it without the cameras, I have to be honest. We need this time, this healing moment.”
Melissa and Teresa’s rocky relationship was well-documented on RHONJ, even leading to Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga Teresa’s brother skipping Teresa’s wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas in 2022.
A source told Us Weekly in November that the estranged family members met up that month to mend fences.
“The meeting went fine,” a source said. “The conversation was about moving forward from the show drama. They are going to move forward, but it’s not going to happen overnight.”
Later in November, Melissa and Teresa spoke about their reunion with Us Weekly at BravoCon in Las Vegas.
“I saw my husband’s relief, and for me, that’s the most important thing. It’s the siblings, it’s the kids, and this trickles down,” Melissa said. “To see the relief in Joe’s eyes, I thought, ‘I’m game. Let’s go. Let’s do this.’”
“We can’t really hash it out too deeply because we’d just keep circling back,” Melissa added. “It’s better to just say, ‘Listen, we’ve all made mistakes here, and it’s time to move forward.’ We’re trying to move forward and learn from life a little bit.”
“This has gone on for too long,” she continued. “Obviously, there’s been time for everyone to reflect. It’s time for it to end.”
Teresa, meanwhile, dismissed any suggestion that her reconciliation with her brother was for the cameras.
“Ask my brother I’m the type that holds grudges. I’m very old school,” Teresa told Us Weekly at BravoCon. “For me to do this, it’s real. He said he was waiting for me because he knew how upset I was about things.”
“People who say that have a mean heart. I’m just saying, a mean soul,” Teresa added. “Everybody should want family to be together. I want to show America what a real Italian family looks like. My ex’s family? They are all together, united. That’s what I’ve always wanted. I want to show America that we can be united, and I want to show our children that too. It’s really important.”
RHONJ is currently on an indefinite hiatus following the conclusion of season 14 in 2024. Teresa said she isn’t concerned about whether she will return for a potential season 15.
“If they pick me, or they pick my brother, I’ll be so happy for them,” she told Us Weekly. “It is what it is. Whatever God wants. When one door closes, another one opens.”
