**“Matt Rogers is giving fans an update on his boyfriend, Fraser Olender, after the Below Deck star revealed he was hospitalized following a heart attack.
The 33-year-old shared on Instagram on Friday, December 5, that the heart attack was caused by what he described as ‘vape poisoning.’”***“‘He’s doing much better,’ Rogers, 35, shared on the December 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.’”

Rogers also took the opportunity to warn viewers: ‘Don’t vape. Don’t do it. Throw it away.’
Olender had previously shared details of his hospitalization in London on Instagram last week. Posting photos from the hospital, he wrote: ‘A few weeks ago I was rushed to the hospital due to severe chest pains and difficulty breathing. I spent a week in London hospitals seeing specialists to determine the cause and any potential damage from the incident.’
‘To keep it simple I had vape poisoning (an E-cigarette or Vaping-Associated Lung Injury, EVALI), and I have never experienced fear or pain like it,’ the former Below Deck chief stew continued.
‘Whatever was in my vape caused a coronary artery vasospasm,’ Olender explained. ‘Medically, that means the arteries supplying blood to my heart suddenly clamped down. The spasm reduced blood flow enough to trigger an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), better known as a heart attack not because of a blockage, but because my heart wasn’t receiving enough oxygen during the spasm.’”
**“‘I’m grateful to still be recovering, and I’m sharing this because I never realized something like this could happen,’ Olender continued. ‘If this experience can help even one person rethink vaping, it’s worth telling.’
He added that he’s given up vaping and has no intention of ever touching a vape again.
‘The pain I endured for 24 hours was indescribable. Two rounds of morphine barely helped, and I eventually had to be given the strongest pain relief legally allowed in the ER and that only brought my pain from a 10 to a 7,’ he shared.
‘I could have died over something so ridiculously stupid, so please do yourselves a favor and quit cold turkey,’ Olender urged his followers. ‘We don’t know enough about these horrific products, but I can tell you one thing: that was NOT cute, not even for the plot 👎🏼.’

‘I wasn’t even really trying to soft launch,’ Rogers said in November about going Instagram official with Olender. ‘I think I was just like, “I’ve been planning to post these pictures.” It just so happened that Fraser and I took what I thought was the best picture. Out of all the ones I was posting, it felt like that one should be first.’
‘He’s such a wonderful person,’ Rogers added. ‘It’s nice if people are interested, and I’ll take it as a good thing. But it’s been hard to watch my Las Culturistas podcast grow. At the beginning, the tone was all about being very honest about our lives, which meant I was talking about my boyfriends whoever they were.
