Kate and Gerry McCann, whose daughter Madeleine McCann went missing at three years old in 2007, have taken a moment to share a moving update on their never-ending search for their daughter.
While the daughter was in the apartment at Praia da Luz, Portugal, with her parents checking on her now and then, her parents, however, having felt that freedom, lost her at the same time to an unknown person on May 3, 2007. It’s a global media circus with even international police operations backing the cause that still haven’t shed light on her disappearance.
The McCanns, in their most recent communication, conveyed their constant anguish, speaking of how they are still not losing hope after the passage of seventeen years, “The pain of losing Madeleine through not knowing what happened to her is still omnipresent in our lives every day,” they said. “We will never give up until we get some answers.”
Besides, they pointed out the continuous support of the police, one of whom is the Metropolitan Police, a nd whose Operation Grange still has new leads. Moreover, they also mentioned the generosity of the well-wishers across the globe who have been with them all the way.
In 2020, German authorities fingered Christian Brückner, who was already incarcerated on charges in 2019, as the person behind Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. But, till today, there is still no definite evidence leading to that, and the direction of the investigation is the same.
The McCanns still hope to receive collaborative information and are hence driving to come out in the open when they said that there are still people that they have trust in keeping them in the light, “We still believe there are people who know something,” they said. “Please, if you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, share it with the authorities.”
Her parents emphasize the idea that they are determined to find justice as they do not give up their search for Madeleine. “She’s our daughter, and we’ll never abandon the search for her,” was their quote.
