Aviation experts have now pointed out the probable cause of the tragic crash of an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, bound for Gatwick, killing two hundred forty-two people, among them fifty-three British nationals, shortly after taking off from India.
The flight, which had just taken off minutes before crashing, is believed to have suffered a catastrophic power failure, with a preliminary investigation ruling out a bird strike as the cause.
Power Failure
Sources close to the investigation claim that an electrical system malfunction may have caused all systems onboard the plane to shut down mid-flight, thus leaving pilots unable to regain control. Although bird strikes are something that is part and parcel of flying, experts claim that the nature of the disturbance in their articulation refers much more to some deeper issue within the airplane.
No mayday call
Unpleasantly, recordings from air traffic control show that the pilots had not issued a mayday call, which raises further speculation as to whether the emergency occurred that quickly or whether there was no time to react.
