Kandi Burruss, best known from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has confirmed she and Todd Tucker are divorcing after 11 years together.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve chosen to move forward with a divorce,” Burruss, 49, shared with Us Weekly. “It’s a difficult time, but I’m focusing on my peace, my children, and co-parenting with love and respect. I’m stepping into a new chapter and pouring into my work, my family, and my personal growth. Thank you for the support, and I ask for privacy and understanding as our family adjusts.
The couple’s split first reported by People comes less than a week after Kandi Burruss attended BravoCon 2025 without her husband. While accepting the Wifetime Achievement Award at the event, the Atlanta star publicly thanked Todd Tucker, 52, for standing by her side through the chaos of reality TV.
“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truths, the fights, the almost-fights … the reunions,” she joked. “You earned this award too.”
Burruss joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2009 during season 2, ultimately finding love with Tucker after entering the show as a single mother to her daughter Riley, now 23. Tucker, who previously worked as a production manager on RHOA, began dating Burruss in 2011, and the pair married three years later. Burruss also became stepmother to Tucker’s daughter, Kaela, from a previous relationship.
In 2016, the couple welcomed their son Ace, now 9, followed by their daughter Blaze, born via surrogate in 2019.
“She’s here! Blaze Tucker was born at 6:54 p.m. on 11-22-19, weighing 8 lbs, 1 oz,” Burruss shared in November 2019. “I’m so thankful to add another healthy, beautiful baby girl to the family!”
As Burruss and Tucker focused on building their family, Todd’s relationship with Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce Jones, remained rocky. The tension began early in their relationship, with Jones openly accusing Tucker of being a “gold-digging opportunist” on RHOA. Their feud continued over the years, though both tried to stay civil for Burruss’ sake.
The drama resurfaced at BravoCon 2022 when Mama Joyce threw shade by refusing to name three nice things about Todd. Although feelings were hurt, Burruss later revealed that the two eventually patched things up.
“That BravoCon last year set it off in my household. They weren’t talking. If she came around, Todd would leave,” Burruss explained at BravoCon 2023. “It was a whole mess. But over the summer, he decided to let it go. They started communicating again. She comes over and hangs out with the kids.”
Tucker’s most recent Instagram post featuring Burruss dates back to October, when the family spent a day apple picking together.
“I hope these little apples 🍎 🍏 don’t fall far from the tree!” he captioned the October 8 post. “Had so much fun with @acetucker and @blazetucker at the Apple Patch!”
Burruss shared similar photos that same day, writing, “Field tripping with @acetucker & @blazetucker ❤️❤️.”
