
Tragic news from Rhode Island as a young 22-year-old URI graduate lost his life due to a fatal allergic reaction to a snack containing peanuts. The young woman has been identified as who died just hours after she had unknowingly eaten an allergen.
The victim had a severe allergy to peanuts and was reported to have ingested a contaminated food item by mistake. She was later diagnosed with anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction, after starting to show symptoms. Although medical help was provided at once, she was not able to be saved.
